Coming up on Tuesday 22nd May is the second of this year’s Cookbook Dinner series, where Tom Harris and Jon Rotheram invite a guest chef to take over the Marksman kitchen for one night only, with a menu inspired by the cookbook most influential to their journey.
We’re delighted to announce that in this edition, Tom and Jon will be joined by Lee Westcott of the Typing Room.
Drawn in to the kitchen from the age of just 16, Lee has since cooked his way around top kitchens of London, Copenhagen, Tokyo, and New York. After spending four years earning the trust of world-renowned London chef and restaurateur Tom Aikens, Lee was called upon by Jason Atherton to oversee two of his restaurants in Hong Kong. He’s also staged at three of the world’s leading restaurants – Noma (Copenhagen), Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (London) and Per Se (New York). Young, creative and well-travelled, Westcott is at the forefront of an exciting new era of British chefs. At the Typing Room – his East London restaurant and first solo venture – he surprises with intelligent and dynamic concoctions using mainly British produce. His cooking has been described as pure, natural and honest, presented in a relaxed atmosphere.
For this Cookbook Dinner edition, Lee has created a menu inspired by Eleven Madison Park, by Daniel Humm.

Later in the year we will also be welcoming:
